Community Engagement
In May 2017, Mr Lawrence Muyimba visited Buddu. During this visit, he carried out community engagement and shared with the community the mission of BCANET, with focus on three main areas, health, education and community engagement.
Mr Muyimba heard from the community who shared with him the challenges they faced in each of these areas. He was also able to visit the educational and health centres to see first-hand the challenges they faced.
Following the engagement meetings, the Board of Trustees that will oversee the work carried out by BCANET was finalised.
Work has also commenced in mobilising volunteers who will help carry out the rehabilitation work. The aim is for the community to be involved and take on some of the work required in making their community better so that there is a sense of community ownership of the transformation for it to be sustainable and maintained.
